Hi Guys! I am kind of new in this place. I am about to buy a new hardtail, and choosing between the bikes I mentioned in the subject? They are exactly same price here ($390- I live in Ukraine (used to be a part of USSR), any help will be highly appreciated! They both look kind of cute to me, Giant has better equipment though (back derailor is Alivio, with Acera in Scott), so if any body knows something about those two, let me know!

Hi!
I live in Poland so I pefectly know where is your country I can strongly recommend you the SCOTT bike. It is not exactly like you say that Giant has better equipment... SCOTT has MUCH better rims and hubs so the complete wheels are MUCH much better, besides look at the cranks - Scott uses Acera crankset, front derailer and rear derailer and also shifters: -compare it to Giant's:crankset-no name (giant?) and so on. Besides look at the frame and you will how it is made - no comments... SCOTT is jusy perfect and it's frame is used also in PRO models. In this comparison Giant's frame is just prymitive... I have SCOTT Octane FX3 for a couple of years by now and the quality of this bike is just great, the same situation is with YZ2. I have advised my girlfriend to buy this bike and I know that it was the best choice we can made for such price. So after all: CHOOSE SCOTT VOLAGE YZ2!!! You will never regret this decision HEY!@!! i wasn't too sober ![]() Anyway - you should definately choose Scott - reason? Strong wheels, strong and safe other parts, great brakes and one of the best frames on market!! If I were I would buy Scott... |
