My son is taking in some whey protein ,he is 14years.
Would some manufacturers be adding some
banned substances to their whey protein just to give some miraculous results???
Because they say keep away from children!!!!!!

I sincerely doubt it.

Marketing hype if anything.

Supplement companies making statements like that actually puts a false message in some peoples mind that the product is even more powerful than it actually is. In fact the truth for supplements is often the opposite of claims. For many years supplement companies have found themselve in more trouble for watering down the contents rather than building up. In the 80's Joe Weider was in trouble because many of his supplements had less than the label claimed when tested by the FDA. Put in more cheap fillers and less of the actual product means more profit. To add in something of more potency they would be forced to charge more.

There may be other reasons why they put a libility disclaimer toward children. One may be due to attorneys seeking a litigation opportunity at every corner.

Whey protein in its purest form is not toxic and is has been valued as one the best all round protein bioavailable sources. The only problem with most whey proteins is that is assimilates very fast in comparison to other sources. Which is not really a problem because it serves its purpose just like simple sugars are to glycogen replacement. It is a quick source for BCAA's.
