Default malaise and carb uptake.

is there anyone here that suffers maliase after exercise? i.e. a general feeling of being unwell? This happened to me last night for example; I rode at 65% max heart-rate for 45 minutes. Afterward I felt good and then had trouble sleeping last night. Also don't feel 'right' today.

There is nothing wrong with me medically; i've had blood tests and x-rays and nothing has shown up on either.

Also, a question about carb/glycogen storage; if I ate my last meal of 800 calories at 6pm then went to bed at 9pm and got up the next day at 9am, would it be a fair assumption to say that there would be little glycogen available to my body if I went out riding at 10am without eating, hence I would bonk pretty quickly.

Thanks.

I actually experience the exact opposite (which I think is the norm). After a good long ride I feel great... endorphines (and sometimes adrenaline) pumping through my blood. The "high" usually lasts for around an hour then I start feeling normal again, but never unwell.

In regards to the glycogen store issue... it is never really a wise idea to exercise on a totally empty stomach. Although, your muscles and liver will have enough glycogen in their stores to last a while. As long as you weren't severely depleted the night before, you should be OK for at least 1 hour... probably closer to 2, depending what level of intensity you are riding.

Yep - I know that feeling, however, it's not one I've experienced for a while. I'm not over-trained either. Wish someone could give me an answer - i've been mulling this question for sometime now...oh for an answer.
