A good protein drink is High5 protein/recovery drink. Especially mixed with Milk or Soya.

Mass Fuel! It's yummy and is loaded with protein and carbs (50 g and 100 g, respectively!!) About 800+ calories per serving. It's perfect after hard training or as a meal replacement/supplement, especially if you need the calories (I do, I weigh about 62 or 63 kgs, and want to add a little more weight). A friend told me about it 2 years ago, and I was a bit dubious, as it is aimed at bodybuilders....but since I've been using it, I've gained about 3-4 kilos, yet my body fat percentage has stayed the same. Good stuff!

www.myopure.com.au

No BS or overhyped marketing claims. No flavouring or sweeteners - add your own if you want. The show is run by a sports medical doctor and it's just the plain, minimalist, stripped back essentials.

The prices are excellent and they'll deliver to your door. Speaking of which, I need to go order some more - I've been losing weight.

Lee Labrada products are great. Meal replacements mix easily with water and are great before, after a ride or working out at the gym.

Max's is the best I've used. I do a bit of gym work and I swear by it, after the gym and after every ride, I recover heaps better.

My climbing improved notably while I used GNC weight gainer 1850 with whey and maltodextrin. It too is for bodybuilders.

Potatoes are great too. They have a good ratio of carbs to protein, a protein profile which you could survive on indefinitely, and very little fat. But who wants to cook and eat after a hard ride?
