I get a black and blue on my sit bone area when I do any multi-day riding (century per day). I have never had a chaffing issues. I have very little natural "padding" back there and padded shorts don't seem to help. I use to ride a hybrid for many years with one of those gel seats doing the same sort of multi-day riding and never had a problem. But now I am on road bike and the gel seat would just look silly on my bike. What other kinds of saddle should I look at - more narrow, longer, wider??? Let me know what you think might help. |
