If you are looking to gain more mass in just your legs then I'm sure some of the more expert cyclists can help you there. If you are looking for more overall body mass then I doubt just cycling will do it. If you want more overall lean body mass then weight training is the fastest way. The key exercises would be squats and deadlifts. No other exercise comes close to these two for adding size to your entire body and of course your legs. Concentrate on compound exercises (exercises that use multiple muscle groups) with fairly heavy weight and low repititions. If you are a serious cyclist though you will need to be careful. Too much mass will slow you down so at some point you will either need to stop or switch to light weight and high repetitions and more isolation exercises. Unless you really know what you are doing you should get a trainer to set you up on a program and make sure you are using correct form. These guys usually really know what they are doing but you must be sure to tell them exactly what your goals are so they don't try to turn you into Arnold Schwartzenegger.

You should see a physio that is qualified in cancer rehab.

Although, eating more than you need will increase your body fat and weight training (specificaly read up on hypertrophy) will increase muscle mass.

Hi,

Lots of cycling isn't going to do it..if you want to build up some muscle mass then wieghts and correct eating is the way to go.
