At the risk of stating the obvious here, crash dieting in any form isn't
advisable for most people most of the time. If you, dear OP, don't need
to crash diet, then consider purchasing another diet book by the same
author or someone else and taking a longer-term approach to achieving
and maintaining good body composition.

It was fun to read the one bad review because, with a few changes, it
could have been written by Lyle about Pavel's books. Here's part of it:

"I'm just against profiteers who use their name and pseudo-success to
sell crap. $25!!! for a book that just repeats a few well known concepts
plus some not well known falsehoods. It's not even hardback but a comic
book sized paperback. There must be plenty of idiots out there like me
willing to give a good title a shot but be warned. And speaking of shot,
any of you out there with a gun, please fire a shot through my bonehead
for buying it."

All that said, if I needed to lose a lot of fat in a short period of
time, I'd probably buy it.
