I feel like these tires transformed my ride into pure urban assault mode. Get these tires if you ride streets. |

I can lean further, the beads grip aweome... at least until the mud on your tire buries the beads, and wear slow, as long as you dont do too much "tire surfing" down steep hills |

Rep Power: 12 | | Re: Poll: What Kind of Tires I ride 26X2.5" Hookworms. They grip roads, sidewalks ramps and car hoods great! They don't do very well off road but that's not quite what they were designed for either. Since they only have one tread patters going through turns is nice and smooth. Putting the tires on the rims is a bit rough, but it's worth the effort. They are kinda pricey but well worth it. I would reccomend these awesome tires to urban riders, just make sure they are going to fit on your bike before you get them, mine have very little (3mm or less) clearance in a few places. These tires handle streets awesome! |

Just got them yesterday and they are a whole lot better than the Kenda Kwests that used to be on the bike.
I like how bontrager puts the little B's on the side tread www.bontrager.com

They are a high volume tire, making it easier to run low pressure when needed. The road bike has the Specialized Mondo Pro in a 700 x 23, they have a 120 tpi and roll easy !

I use Specialized Enduros. Insanely good stick on wet and dry singletrack. They aren't very thorn repellant though. |

I have other wheels with Kenda 26 x 1.5 slicks for the training rollers.
Regards.

Vredestein S-Licks during the week when I commute.
Takes 5 minutes to change the tyres and to get everything setup at the correct pressures. A track pump makes life easier by miles as you can get the pressures exactly right. I run at 45psi off road and about 90psi on the road. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
