Default Trek 4300 vs. Giant Rincon

What are your guy's thoughts on the Trek 4300 and Giant Rincon?

Trek 4300 (http://www2.trekbikes.com/Bikes/Moun...4300/index.php)

Giant Rincon (http://www.giant-bicycle.com/us/030....45&model=10764)?

I'm new to mountain biking and don't want to spend too much on a bike. I have about $350 to spend. Just wanted to know your thoughts. Thanks for your help.

Either of those bikes would be a good first bike but i'd lean toward the Trek for the disc brakes

Thanks Duckwah. I probably won't be getting the disc version of the 4300 though, can't really afford that much.
