Rico, I am in the process of building a new wheelset for my Giant NRS C2 and I have the Mavic XC717 rims and both Hope Pro II disc hubs. I still need my spokes & nipples. How do you like that combo? How light are they? Mark Here is my ride now... Quote:

MTB: Raleigh RM9 with XT, Mavic tubeless wheels, ritchey pro finishing kit. my new ride is a dakar xlt 1.0, nixon, raceface, x.9; i built it up because a)i needed a new frame, one that didn't flex under me so much; b) the old frame is still viable for someone in the family, so after i rebuild/repaint it, well...maybe my sister can roll it.

My trusty old mountain bike: ![]() Note the family of Swans! Here's a slightly better shot. ![]() "The flight deck..." ![]() "The engine..." Be it for the over-cast weather or my camera in need of adjustment; the yellow has come out looking a little like sickly custard! In real life, its a vibrant but non-overpowering yellow. Please excuse the odd angles in the last two. ![]() N.B. if any one lives near me and wants to hook up for some cycling (I also have a road bike), PM me. |

I've got a Scott genius, the MC 50 is the baby in the range and it still came out with Avid single didget v's all the newer mod's have disk, but it gives me more than my money's worth. Its light under 12 kilo's,and has decent spec components. THE FEATURE I MOST Apreciate is the adjustable rear shock 3 modes and operates from a finger trigger lever,on the handlebar. It suits my riding perfectlly, climbing steep offroad trails in travle mode and and comming backdown as fast as i can in full sus mode. |
