Hi, I have recently decided to buy a new bike and the Trek 800 and 820 have also caught my eye. I went to a local bike shop and found out that both models have been replaced by the new 3500 and 3700, respectively. The 3500 is selling for about $240 and the 3700 for $290. You may want to consider looking at either of these. I tried both out yesterday and really liked them (then again a wheel barrow would be better than the 10 speed Murray I have now). For anyone more experienced or that knows anything about these models, do you think it would be possible to get the 3700 for around $250, or does that seem too unreasonable? Thanks, Deepak |

actually about a week ago i went to the local bike shop to look around. i tried the 800 and 820. liked them both. then outta the corner of my eye i saw an orange and blue bike sitting there. it was the 4300. it was there for $330. something about the end of the 2003 cycle closing so the price was lower. then he said $300 if i wanted that exact bike and didnt have to order one. so i said sure. i bought it. have been happy with it so far. |
