hey all, time to get rid of my middle school Toys R Us trash and get a real bike, just looking for some different opinions in this thread. so, in high school so i've got limited budget, looking at Giant Iguana Disc vs. Specialized Hardrock Pro; Specialized, Trek, and Giant are really all thats offered in my city with 2 bike stores. You know about the components, so talk up... what do you think abotu the two bikes--which would you buy... |

awesome, two great bikes, i have the 2004 17" Specialized hardrock pro(disc) actually i just bought it today YAY and my best friend has the 17" Giant Iguana Disc. so i am the man to help you out. These two bikes have great components and they both have features that you need to decide which ones fit you better, thats why i got the hardrock cuz its fits me, the frame is a little down so i have some more room because i am definatly not tall, and i liked the pedals, bars, frame, and forks a lot better, the hardrock has spring shocks, unlike the iguana that has air shocks, and even though the cycle world is moving into the air shock era spring shocks last longer, but its my preference, so go down to one of your local shops and ride them both, make sure your salesperson talks you through the right way to choose your size and steps to see what bike is right, good luck! |
