Hi all I have a GT Avalanche Expert 2008 with Shimano Hydraulic Brakes During maintenance is it OK to turn the bike upside down to make it easier to clean as I am a bit concerned about getting air in the system and then having to re-bleed the brakes which I have never done before ! Many thanks and thanks for your time Tiggy777 |

Shouldn't be a problem as the system is sealed and there should be no air between the diaphragm at the lever and the pistons at the wheels. If there is air under the diaphragm the brakes weren't bled properly in the first place, but this is unlikely for OEM brakes as most are factory bled. |
