Default Shimano road to mountain equivalent

New to mountain biking. What are the equivalent Mountain Bike groups to Shimano 105 and Ultegra?

Thanks!

Default Re: Shimano road to mountain equivalent

Well, after being a long time mountain biker and getting my first road bike (and doing a search in this forum !) I have so far estimated that -

Tiagra = Deore
105 = SLX / LX
Ultegra = XT
Durace = XTR

If anyone thinks that's incorrect, please let us know......
