Default Aquila, Marlin, or Iguana

I have the opportunity to buy one of the followin used bikes:

Gary Fisher Aquila for $300
GIANT Iguana for $325
Gary Fisher Marlin for #200

I am a beginning mountain biker who will be training and using the bike for small adventure races (biking segments 15-20 miles). Which is the better deal?

Thanks in advance

Jim

Don't know about the Auilla or Iguana...

I'd go with the Marlin. I have one and it got me into the sport. Fisher makes nice bikes.I have since bought something else but still have the Marlin.

You know, first bike syndrome...

I just bought the Iguana over the weekend for $275. I thought it had better components. Thanks for the reply though. It seems like a nice bike.

Its a 2003 and the guy only rode it a couple of times because he decided he liked his road bike better. The Marlin that was for sale was a 1998 or 1999. Same for the Aquila. I found that out after my original post.
