I just shaved my legs cause I just started racing. The chicks dig it, and my guy friends seem to respect me for doing it. Especially the ones who came to the race and watch me. |

One day after school I was out on my usual ride and I passed by the school cross counry team. Some body said "look theres that ryan kid!" Then every body kept calling me lance as I passed by. But some of them just complemented me on my bike the next day. But i do get alot about wearing lycra shorts. |

You should try to talk to some of the XC runners at your school and maybe the coach and get them into it in the off season of running, you never know, you may get some new friends to ride with. WE have a triathlon/cycling team at the school where I teach and most of my athletes are XC runners. Keep cycling, you'll stay fit and have fun, don't let spandex be an issue and ride with pride. |
