Here's a PM modeling tool I put together based on a spreadsheet I found here a few months ago. The only change I made to the original calculation was to show TSB based on the previous day's TSS. After doing this and pasting in data from CPS the PM chart it created was dead on what CPS had so it appears the calculations are spot on. My primary motivation in putting this together was to quickly model data based on the workouts I consider the staple of my training diet. I also use rolling TSS figures to determine when I need to rest so I included that data as well. Finally, as an example I've also attached my first draft for the 2007 build up I have planned. |

Each of these two years I've inched my numbers up slightly and have been able to bounce back with 3 days of recovery. I've pushed the numbers up slightly again this year so we'll see if I really find my "breaking point" in early March 2007:-) Scott |

Here's a two part article I put together illustrating how I've developed my training plan model for next year. Perhaps you'll find this of some use if you're doing the same. part 1 http://tinyurl.com/ye9r98 part 2 http://tinyurl.com/yz5ftx |

Nicely written and succinct, I always struggle to distill it down when trying to make sense of it to people. Would like to post a link on my site to this if that is ok ? Peter |
