Default Continental Trainer Tyre

Hi All

Thought this might be of amusement

Been using these tyres on my CompuTrainer for ages and like them but when they give up the ghost they give up the ghost big time. I managed to grab the camera after getting the wheel off, before the explosion that almost frightened me to death!

Check out my weblog (link in signature file) for the results!

Cheers,

PBUK

Haha, how did you balance that egg on the tire . I almost had a similar thing happen on the road not long ago. Luckily, I had some anti-puncture liners in the tires that kept the tube from bulging out. I made it home by carefully avoiding every small rock on the road. That was a slalom of a ride.

I've heard lots of bad things about these tires delaminating. I just use cheap Continental tires with plain ol' wire beads on the trainer and save the better tires for out on the road. I do most of my training on the trainer anyway...
