I know it's uncool to reply on your own post but still: 1 hour test yesterday on my indoor trainer (up the Stelvio on my Tacx DVD) proved my new FTP. And as I climbed 1 up in the list I needed to do this!![]() The reason to post 295W instead of the 294W according to the attached file (to not become a Tyson ) is that I know I could have done that bit more as I wasn't completely worn at the end and due to the fact that I wasn't really that rested (did some weights in the gym the day before) and as I only notch it up/down in 5W steps .

Cat. 4, racing age 45, in CO; TT'er, not a climber (obviously)! 2nd year racing, about 2/3 of the way through my base for the season (just now starting intervals). A-Race in early June (State TT), with a 7-week TT series coming up starting in April. 263w at 78.5 kg = 3.35w/kg

Same power, lower body mass. Recent racing supports current FTP estimate (~30-min points race NP of 289W). Did also have a ~40-min TT at ~ 265W however mechanical problems with leg caused a drop in power over 2nd half of TT. Also intervals on ergo bike support this FTP level.
