Default Wireless Powertap head-unit with wired hub?

I have a Powertap 2.4 wireless on a nice carbon tubular.
Consider getting a training wheel for indoor and rainy days.
On Ebay, the older wired units are cheaper, and in particular wheels without a head unit. My question: will my head-unit work with older wired hubs?

Thanks
Henrik

I have not been able to make this scenario work. If there is a way, I too would like to know how it can be done.

No. You'll need a Cervo PRO made for a wired PT system. The cervo 2.4 will not work with a wired hub.
