Hi guys I'm wanting to get myself a power meter sometime during the next few weeks. I used a polar several years ago, i'd probably rather steer clear of those, unless the new one has improved a lot?. Which brand/model is the go these days? cheers |

Hard to go wrong with Powertaps and SRM. Quarq is out there and seems to be doing fine but still early days.

I have 2500 miles on the Powertap wheel and its as true as the day I got it. The Powertap Pro+ power meter is also performing flawlessly |

Depends on what's important to you. There are several "good" manufacturers of PM's out there and they all have varying characteristics to one degree or another. I would recommend looking here for a comparison. It's a bit dated and still a good place to start. Another good resource is Charles Howe's page here. Dave |
