Default New power meter

Hi guys

I'm wanting to get myself a power meter sometime during the next few weeks. I used a polar several years ago, i'd probably rather steer clear of those, unless the new one has improved a lot?.

Which brand/model is the go these days?

cheers

Hard to go wrong with Powertaps and SRM. Quarq is out there and seems to be doing fine but still early days.

Powertap Pro+ is what I am using. Its a great value. I got a Powertap pro+ rear custom wheel from Neuvation and a Neuvation R28SL5 front wheel to go with it for 1300.00.
I have 2500 miles on the Powertap wheel and its as true as the day I got it. The Powertap Pro+ power meter is also performing flawlessly

Depends on what's important to you. There are several "good" manufacturers of PM's out there and they all have varying characteristics to one degree or another. I would recommend looking here for a comparison. It's a bit dated and still a good place to start.

Another good resource is Charles Howe's page here.
