I know Lance is the best... why can't they show highlights of the 1999-2005 Tour de France's rather than race the Giro ? I mean its so boring seeing new races if Lance isn't going to be there.... this is so boring... bring back Lance.... oh and he was heaps better than Jan...

Same reason Jan beat Lance in the ITT in Sydney, start times...

"Honchar has passed Di Luca at the 28km check." That's a big deal for Di Luca, as I think the start times were 2'30" apart (or something like that).

"Savoldelli his time check No. 2
34:58, 1:02 off of the Kaiser's time."

Cunego is being passed by his 2'30" person.

Start times were 1.30" apart for the first half of the field and then 2.30" for the last half....

"Basso at time check No. 2 34:24; Savoldelli, did a 34:28" per Velonews.

I think they mean Savo did 34'58", which is what they said before.

and Musette orgasms as Danielson finishes in seventh.

Larsson's time very impressive. The same for Clement. A Bouygues telecom rider so high up is quite a novelty

Can you be a little less sexist with your sarcasm?

According to some analysis I did using analytical cycling, a 4 m/s wind mostly headwind/tailwind makes a >300 second difference (slower) over 50 km vs calm wind. Ullrich has it, and the later riders may have beat his time if the wind hadn't picked up. Worst situation is headwind with a hill up, that really slows you down. My experience riding agrees with this.

As I said, what people write is more telling about them than the people they target.

"Di Luca passes time check three a whopping 4'34 behind Ullrich. Then Savoldelli comes through just 1'30 behind, for fifth. That's a good performance from the Discovery captain. He won't lose much to Basso today"

"Simoni comes with a time of
1:03:09, 29th fastest of the day.
Honchar comes in with a good time, finishing in 59:57, third fastest on the day." per Velonews.

"Di Luca
Finishes with a time of 1:04:01 - 51st on the day.

5:06 PM Savoldelli
[Finishes] With the fourth fastest of the day so far."

Savo is behind Gonchar on today's time.
