NIce to see Mr. Zabel taking the first stage of this HC event, and was 2 seconds clear of the rest of the field. Highly doubtful with a 25 km TT he'll do anything overall, but in a sport marked by controversy (especially with the recent arrest of Saiz), its always nice to hear about a true class act and great ambassador to the sport like Zabel still able to perform at a top level. If I remember right, this puts him 4 shy of 200 victories? Last edited by Capt.Injury; 05-24.-2006 at 01:15 PM. Reason: Fingers going faster then the mind |

EZ is da man. You know he was interviewed on ES some years back durring the Tour de France. Sean kelly is co-commentator on ES. It's not often you hear SK praising a cyclist outright - but he did say some very complimentary things about EZ. This just gives an indication of the standing of EZ in the sport.

Really enjoying "Hell on Wheels" at the moment. Left it about 1/2 way through last night. Had to get some sleep. Zabel's character, enthusiasm, geniality and competitiveness all come across nicely in this film. I highly recommend it, not only to Zabel/T-Mobile fans, but to fans of cycling in general. A very nice tension between the epic, panoramic feel of the Tour and the more intimate behind the scenes relationships in the team.
