Exclamation Alcohol is the culprit to Floyd's abnormal T/E Ratio

Floyd will be cleared. Apparently, Floyd had whiskey and beer. Alcohol will increase the Testosterone to Epitestosterone ratio from 30%-277% in healthy people. From following article written in 2001 by By Dr Simon Davis B.Sc., Ph.D.
Scroll half way down to (The Effect of Alcohol Consumption on the Urinary Testosterone / Epitestosterone Ratio)

Floyd said he had whiskey at following link.

Are you telling me that no other rider has ever had a drink during Le Tour?

Hmmm, actually, if he really blasted himself with the whiskey, he might be the first guy to ever get wasted and then go out and win the next stage, meaning that no one else would have ever been tested under those circumstances. I'm assuming it isn't standard Tour prep to hit the hard alcohol.

Even so, it would take the highest levels that that study found to get him up to the 11-1 ratio that has been rumored.

This is the first time I can ever think of someone relying on a high blood alcohol reading to prove innocence -- "Your honour, I drank so much I must be innocent" I guess the lab will have to test for alcohol level now -- very wierd.

I can't believe alcohol would still be in the bloodstream that long after he drank it.

Hmm, can he get a ticket or something for riding under the influence? Besides the speeding ticket he should have received.

It must be the combination of the alcohol as well as Thyroid pills for his hypothyroid and the cortisteroid for the pain in his hip that increased his ratio higher than usual. Who knows.

Has an accused rider ever taken a lie detector test? Just wondering.

I think you mean to say it wouldn't be in his bloodstream -- that is the problem -- any defence is based on his and his teammates testimony on what they drank the night before --

Those explanations don't make sense from a physiological point of view.
Even the alcohol has to be in very large amounts - more than what he has said he had - to have any effect on the T:E ratio.

That explains all the water. He forgot his pint of it before bed so he had to nurse his headache and rode in a hungover trance. Everything is as clear as day now.
