Now that I am a believer again, I'll go buy my Carbon Trek and another 10 yellow arm band thingies. Go Lance.

That's more like it. You were a chump, now you're a champ. It's amazing how Lance -- if you just let him in your soul, acknowledge his superior being and shine in his light -- will bring you around to his way of thinking.

He is clean.

You know that now.

Go out and spread the word of Lance.

I will. I feel so good... No there is a better word....CLEAN!!!

I am going to start a website and maybe a foundation to help the world know what I know.

Thanks again...everybody.

I particularly resent the SI article characterizing cycling as 'dirty'. All sports are dirty, cycling is at least making an effort to combat drugs. Why aren't the hot investigative reporters like Walsh and Ressiot going after the footballers involved with Puerto? Normally, a thinly kept secret like that is a magnet for the muckrakers. Anyone care to guess what would happen if the World Cup champions were put through a typical cycling dope control?

It's a shame that the belated but much needed efforts to combat PEDs in cycling are turning it into pro sport's sacrifical lamb. If that's how a cleanup effort will be interpreted by the media, the rest of the sports will be motivated... to keep sweeping it under the carpet.

This topic is sliding.

In respect of Walsh - he's written about cycling since 1982 : that's 24 years of good professional standing. (I used phone in the race results to him when he manned the results desk at the Turbo).
He's is cycling fan first and foremost.
Although he does write about other sports too.

Second - perhaps other sports do attract dopers too.
As cycling fans, we shouldn't use other sports as a point of reference.
Personally, I couldn't care less if every other sport is doped up to their gills - I want to see a clean sport. Naive? perhaps. But I'm willing to stake that fans of cycling want to see a clean sport and not the charade we have been subjected to in recent times.

But will we ever see clean cycling? No. Someone will always outsmart the tests for the glory/money.

RESPONDS TO ANDREU DOPING ADMISSION

The US Postal and Discovery Channel Professional Cycling Teams have had a long standing "no tolerance" policy with respect to the use of performance enhancing drugs. No rider has ever had a positive test during the 10 years these teams have competed. However, it has recently come to light that a former rider, Frankie Andreu, has admitted to the use of a banned substance while he was a member of the team.

We are saddened and disappointed by this recent revelation. Any suggestion that any form of doping has ever been encouraged or tolerated on this team is patently false. We have won our races (including 7 Tours de France, 1 Tour of Italy, 1 Tour of Spain, and many others) with regard for sportsmanship and fair play.

Team management will be investigating this issue and considering all legal options and trust that the relevant authorities (USA Cycling, USADA and the UCI) will be doing the same.

German authorities secured samples of former Tour de France winner Jan Ullrich's DNA when they raided his Swiss residence Wednesday, according to a report released Thursday.

Germany's Sueddeutsche Zeitung said in an advance release of its Friday edition that authorities plan to compare the German rider's DNA with frozen blood seized at a Madrid clinic as part of a doping investigation that forced Ullrich and eight other riders to withdraw from this year's Tour.

I think the reaction of many cycling officials to Andreu's statement is very telling. It's getting easier to sort out where people really stand.
