I'm all for snarky comments. Certainly the farce that is the dailypeloton.com is not a model to be followed. The mod there goes ballistic if someone even cracks a joke taht alludes to doping. And if you mention Armstrong in relation to doping, fugettaboutit. The mod using a pic of Armstrong as his avatar is a rather big clue about the balance you get there.

Hey Bro Deal. Why don't you just open up your own blogsite? You seem quite miserable and frustrated here. Quit complaining.

Perhaps one of two of your friends will join you and you can read and write whatever 'you decide' the posts ought to read?

It is obvious that you lust after absolute editing and deletion authority.

Don't have a heart attack--like Nike Lance's NY Marathon pacer did today. Alberto Salazar, age 48 collapsed at the Nike Campus (of all places) and needed a stent installed into a blocked artery.

It's ridiculous that you cannot discuss the the very real possibility that the odds on favorite to win may not be allowed to race.

But that does not mean that every single thread needs to be filled with info about doping, especially when the doping talk is irrelevant to the purpose of the thread. If the same crap is going to be posted in every thread then we might as well do away with threads altogether.

Here's the typical contribution by Doctor.House:

What does this add to any thread? It's his typical bizarre rambling with so little point that it cannot even be responded to. I don't even think the good doctor is capable of writing a coherent sentence. With the Tour de France coming up, do we really need this sort of thing posted to every thread?
Only a hypocrite denys doping as root of top level commercial sporting performance---and live in a parallel universe, as all hypocrites must do.

Do we just stop talking about him at all?
Start a thread discussing it instead of turning the race discussion into a doping discussion...which we all know will become a pissing match on this forum. Is that really a hard concept to master?

I'm just going to stop reading Doctor.House et al's rambings. They protest too much, makes me suspicious as to their motives. So henceforth, i'm ignoring them and just enjoying the sport.

As I have ignored you--yet without the need to comment.

No actually he is right. It's tiresome. Yes there is doping, yes there is a good chance that everybody dope and yes it is the same for every professional sport but why do have to repeat it at every opportunity? We got it.
If you think it can't be done or it's not worth it don't bother posting. I don't want to talk or read about drugs in every ******* topic. It's not that I don't want to talk about it, want to avoid it, or put my head in the sand... It's just BORING!!! I am sick of it. I am sick of reading it every ******* day in every ******* post.
Can we at least try to talk about cycling during the Tour de France? Without the drugs? Is it too much to have just one topic where we could discuss what took place DURING the stage and not before or after the stage (I mean doping)?

BTW... We do we need 4 topics about Jakcshe? Why isn't one good enough?

Couldn't agree more. Dopeing is a major part of cycling, but i agree can it be kept to seperate threads. maybe if you start a post and specify no dopeing posts, is it to much to ask for everyone to respect the wishes of the poster??

Cycling needs a policy where races cannot have dope.

You are right. When all is said and done, this could be a fantastic Tour de France. I have no clue about who is going to win. I think 10 guys have a shot. It should be fun. Hopefully we will put all of this doping stuff aside for the next three weeks and just enjoy the race.

That's too funny.

Cycling w/o doping is like Christmas w/o a Santa Claus.

Or a day w/o sunshine.

So your saying it's possible, in some parts of the world, there it's dark 24hours a day, and not everyone believes in Santa clause

I believe in Santa and I also know that Dancer and Pracer are doped to the gills on EPO.
Happy 4th for those of you who celebrate it.I am off to the local boat parade.
