Thumbs up Re: List the people in the 2007 TDF that you think doped

all 191 riders used:

Saline feeds

Some also used
IGF-1
Pot Belge

and the GC riders added:
blood transfsuions of cow or human blood
Interleukins

insulin and HGH are neither anabolic nor steroids but i get your drift.

for the dopers, i think vino prolly did.

i think all of the professional riders dope to some degree. the list of substances written by doc is so horrific to even fathom. it makes me sad. yet one cannot be naive and simply attack the messenger. that being said, i hate that some athletes resort to such abuse. i really trully hate it. but i love the sport. so i am a hypocite for still supporting it knowing that in the back of my mind some of these atheletes are resorting to such duplicitious means. it is truly deviant and all the while the major sponsors are profitting. the riders are merely the pawns in this game.

so based on the premise that all dope to some degree, what really annoys me is that the testing standards are incredibly discriminatory. why should some riders be singled out while others get a free pass? why are some riders not tested out of competition for three seasons while others get tested five times in one week, or fourteen times out of competition in one season? until there is some sort of standardization the entire ruse of testing is hypocritical. it is a joke. so until there is reform, if these teams and riders want to abuse themselves, then let them all ride. unfortunately, as other astute posters have already mentioned in other threads, it all comes down to a money issue. and isnt that one of the universal truths... that money is the root to all evils.

Untrue Saint Andrew:

Insulin is anabolic as all hell (that's why it is MUST HAVE gear)

hGH or eHG is super glue for fast regenerations. Very anabolic peptide hormones.

Lightbulb Re: List the people in the 2007 TDF that you think doped

It is very apparent to me--that besides all the riders being on powerful drugs, the event is largely fixed too.

1998 was fixed by having 40% of the field abandon or be arrested

1999-2005 were fixed for Pharmstrong (nobody was drug busted)

2006 appeared fixed with the Roid Landis miracle comeback and excluding Ulrich, Basso.

2007 was again fixed for Team Discovery by throwing out Kloden, Rasmussen.
and team Cofidis and Astana.

These fixed results should not be applauded.

It was complete BS.

Nobody was doped. They did it all with power meters and high cadence.

A better question may be which team had organized doping programs. My votes are:

Quick-Step
Discovery
Lampre
Liquigas
Astana
Caisse DeParne

I'm honestly curious here, how did you come up with this list?

Again, not an expert but is there any reason Rabobank isn't on it?
