I don't understand this. Can you explain in more detail? Are you trying to say.... Theo De Rooij had some reason why he wanted to push Rasmussen out (internal or external pressure). He kicked Rasmussen out, and everyone claimed that it was due to being in Italy vs. being in Mexico? Now Rabobank have forced de Rooij out over it, and they are trying to investigate what really happened behind closed doors? And by implication, all of us who are focusing on where Michael was this past June are just fooled by the cover story? |

It is hardly a mystery. Robobank knew where all its Tour de France riders were 24/7 all year. Ras is not traveling around Mexico or the Dolimites without daily feedback. Not to mention his daily blood doping medical help. Cow blood (Hemopure) media questions are not permitted after Paris podium presentation. Neither ASO nor Robobank wanted that outcome. Jouralists are NOT permitted to ask them, riders NOT permitted to answer them. But in the Ras case---mule Whitney Richards was on the Velonews record. Frankenstein methods are more offensive than steroids. Cover stories are what the media, marketing and sport are founded on. Quote:

The first two you mentioned, there are different theories about what was the exact reason. |

From what I hear, a check for a substansial sum was sent to Denmark by an unidentified source in Texas. This check had to be endorsed by Rasmussen in person on or before July 26th or the ink would disappear off the check rendering it not worth the paper it was written on. |

regardless of what the "real" story is, the lie about italy/mexico is still valid and should not be swept under the rug. it leads to character. if anything, the cover story overshadowed the velonews cow blood story. the people who wanted him out, are these the same people who are pushing this younger rider clean generation crap? |

OK, so when will the Rabobank "official" investigation be over? And why would we be told the truth then, if it is such a big deal/nefarious outcome kinda thing?

There is NO investigation. (much like the Balco case or the ESPN/MLB George Mitchell steroid audit; 3 years and only one witness interviewed) The alleged Robobank inquiry is secret code for: Renewal of Michael's Hemopure sourcing channel (cow blood) and his 2008 wages. The typical sports fans forgets about these criminal issues with 72 hours. Just business as usual at Robobank, Ag2R, T-Mobile and Quick-Step Quote:
