I'm proud to say that my then girlfriend and I did our civic duty of community service and sold them annually for a youth sports fundraiser. We were the bar maids per se that went table to table selling them during a reverse raffle. We were ever so eager to volunteer for the job, but that was because for every one we sold we ate 2. And then of course there were all the ones that people bought for us along the way too.

For some strange reason, the President of the organization elected not to have them last year. He muttered something about, as entertaining as it was to watch, we ate all of the profits and they never made money off of them. Hhhmmm, I wonder why? I just don't get it. We were very good at our job as there was never any inventory left over . . . .

Thinking about Jodie Foster, why is she a star? The only films I can think of that had her in them and that I enjoyed are Taxi Driver and The Little Girl Who Lives Down the Lane, whiich is a somewhat strange and pretty cool movie.

Forgot about Silence, but that was how long ago?

I tried to watch Flightplan. I made it through about ten minutes. The lead character Foster was playing was not someone I wanted to watch for another hour and a half.

It's an interesting film. Foster was thirteen or fourteen when she made it. She plays a girl who mentally is much, much older than her age. She kills people who get in her way.

A lot less long ago than Taxi Driver. There was that Always movie with Rich Dreyfuss as well, but she hasn't done much recently. In fact what does she spend her time doing? Just being famous and being a good lesbian mum to her sons I suppose.

Pretty good actress though IMO. Though obviously not a bombshell.

Wasn't she sexually abused by her father? Or am I getting her mixed up with someone else?

She definitely plays the scary little "woman on a mission" well.
