It's even better than that... two teams QUIT at half-time, because we were "too good" and because we "were too big and hit too hard." It's...football... ? And I SWEAR the kids were just playing good football and not hurting anybody. Nobody was lying on the ground after a play, or even needed help up, or some of the things I've seen out there in the big bad world of youth football.

And their parents cheered them as if they'd won the game when they left the field. Way to give up, Tommy!!!

They handed my kid his medal and he looked at it like..WTF would I want a prize from you people?? He's been beaten into the ground by better teams, lost 60 to 0 in the pouring rain and he never quit...

But yeah, some success is pretty sweet after two years of losses. Goes to show how important coaching is...a lot of these kids were on that losing team. We told them they were building character....and I think it actually did!!!

BTW...hope you're having fun holidaying... It's clearly a little slower without the Crankster..

Ha, if only I'd actually MADE it to the office at this point. My daughter developed a very minor health issue while we were on vacation. Nothing to get excited about but I don't feel like going into it on the public waves. That said, I spent yesterday at the pediatricians with her and then today at another doctor's (she's fine btw).

Geez, keep your fingers crossed that I actually am able to go into the office tomorrow before they get mad at me . . .
