Great federation of Kazhakstan...but we are lucky because of :
The documents and proof provided by Vinokourov and his lawyers did not convince us. That's why we decided to sentence him with a one year ban.
They are not speaking of doubts...

It seems that whenever you count him out he comes raging back, however lets call the possibility a "successful comeback"
Under that definition I would say no.

Training is not not enough. He would need to participate in some racing to be ready.

I don't see how there is any way the one year will stand. CAS will hit him for two years. The only way to get less than two is to provide information.

I wonder if the Kazakhs will give a similar ban to Kash.

This whole system with national federations giving out sanctions for offenses that were found by the UCI in races held in countries other than the athlete's home country seems very unnecessary. Why does not the UCI do the sanctioning itself?

Because its easier for them. They can decide to go to CAS if public opinion want them to or ...

I am soooo over the doping issue. They all dope and if they want to abuse their bodies, so be it. who cares if vino doped. He MADE the 2007 tour. sure, sure there were bit players, soler, chicken, Contador, but the tour is all about drama and vino has IT running through his blood.

I never thought Id say this, but... VINO for GOLD!!!

I loved the stage when the Astana boys went to the front before the cross winds hit and created an echelon... beautiful.

Maybe he thinks that if he announces his retirement then there is less of a chance that the UCI will appeal his one year suspension to CAS. He can come out of retirement right before the Olympics.
