In any case... I'm a bit lost again on what your point is? Is it that the feds have lots of ammunition to go looking for athletes who are prescripton drug abusers?

may nain point is that what makes the feds more effective is that they can break down doors and search your house in the middle of the night, they can question you and if you lie, you go to jail.. even if you just don't answer they can put you in jail.. they can tap phone lines... supeona phone records... get your email from your ISP.. they have access to labs and millions of dollars in resources... what does WADA have compared to that... unannounced testing... woopdy doo... also what it the punnishment? so i lose my ability to race... it's bad but i can move on... at least i still have my freedom and don't have to go get sodomized in some federal pen somewhere. |

Countries need to actually legislate for doping in sport - in order to enpower the civil authorities to take action. Sport doping is actually legislated against under French law. Whereas here - we don't have such legislation, although it is being considered. Over here, if someone was found with vials of EPO in their car by the police - they could be prosecuted under another piece of legislation. However, the end user for the EPO would not be prosecuted (in all probability). I think specific legislation should be enacted in all countries - that way you can charge the supplier, the facilitator and the end user.

WADA has been signed up to most sovereign goverments (IOC made signing up compulsory prior to 2004 Olympics, if nations wanted to take part in the Olympics). Perhaps WADA need to present a template legal document via UN - then it might quicken the entire process??
