Default How will the Olympics affect doping investigations?

More scrutiny for athletes orwill countries go easy for fear of spoiling their nation's chances of winning medals?

Does the Olympics even matter that much anymore? It was big during the cold war but now it is so commercialized.

Never trust any organization that calls itself a movement.

I'm sure that countries still care about how many medals they bag through athletes. Just check how Chinese athletes are preparing for the upcoming Olympics. Regarding scrutiny, it is hard to judge, right? On the one hand, if athletes get busted, the country gets some of the disrepute; but on the other hand, since many athletes are going to be juiced anyway, sending in a clean team increases the chance of coming back empty handed. My guess is that status-quo will be maintained.
