yes:

Lance Armstrong has been a fearless advocate of the millions of cancer surviors and has fought to contunie funding for cancer research in the hopes of finding a cure. Why would a man who fought for his own life, then in turn use an illegal substance to alter his god given talents? I feel truly sorry for those who cannot believe in his story, the inspiration that he gives cancer surviors and the belief that maybe one day they too can LiveStrong! We as a nation need to focus on the issues that impact each of us; this senseless war, an excellent education system that’s free to all, minimizing our individual and collective affects on the environment and providing free and available health care to all who seek it.

I feel sorry for four-year-old children who don't believe in Father Christmas, the inspiration that a filled stocking gives them and the belief that one day they too can ride around in an aerial sleigh powered by radioactive-nosed reindeers.

Thought I'd share this one from the netherworld of DPF...

The topic was the (futile, but habitual) one of 'who do think is/was a clean rider?' No-one said Lance, so far as I recall, but one fella did name Pantani. This was the response:

My reply on beer and ambien:

Of course, rube to the 10th power. You can see what the LA era ushered into his domincance; pack fodder, a few good days, then broom wagon. Sounds typical for a clean rider, unless he is fl, god of all that is pure in cycling.

If pirrata he had completed against clean adversaries. Festina had it in for him, then LA. Pirratta could not beat LA because of Bruhneel. Pantati had bunch of squat pissers that couldnt' bring him packets of wonder mussettes. He should have those kids up the mounthain; even if they cliip the bar he still gets wonder musset.

Long live my mate for life Il Pirratta. He wil alway defend the injusticed done to his experience ill piratta had no adversarpies. he floew up the mountian like on a mobed, but he was on a bike. take that, you haters. now.

He shows on that mountain in tne giro the angliru who kicks ass. is that the mountain, or in the veulta? is that a mountain of just seomething todefeat mortals or nonpirates? That mountain is in the vuelta. The one in the giro is motorola. They named it atfter that phone. WTF does a phone have to do witha mountain state ion the vuelta? to call somebody to come pick up yor bonked ass? I saw david miller bust his ass on algniru. that is good enough for me, that squatpisser. Probabbly had to take a pis, so he blamed the mountain. Is he banned from riding certain gradiensts, like positive ones? Is he banned from using cell phoneS? what is the other mountain banned in the giro? they went up it last year; boohooo, too mean. the one with the snow on itwith mud. where they trid to drop salatore with that venezuealan and those other two dubes. Ouch, it hurts. I need more paddinig in my shorts. help me **** pount or i take ped. Boo hoo.

Someday all hero riders connect with public by riding clean. it is just hard to ride cleanwioth difficult courses and cheating opponent. how can i be Pablo juiced on EPO and mescal? Pubic cheers hero rider becasue they done't see proof of EPO/Mescal roostertal. Start fund: mepoNOmeswithrooster. Raise money to buy corvette from duped rube fans.

GOtta go lay down. Peoole on drugs shouldn't post. These drugs can hep me win the tour.I should be restings and carbo loading. bye.

I couldn't make head or tail of at least 60% of what that dude wrote. Is he on drugs, or is his first language not English?

He was on drugs (he admits), but there is intentional as well as unintentional humour in there.

Yeah, that's true (especially the references to the mountains). I guess the very writing style is in itself funny - it is like the blabberings of a tipsy person.

Parts of it read like a computer translation, perhaps from martian.

It's about as rational as the tosh that 'Il Piratta' posts on here about his eponymous hero.

Jesus, I've never read the paceline forums until now - it's like a freakin' cult over there, with Bruyneel in the role of Dear Leader.

Exactly. Scientology would find thepaceline.com rich recruiting ground.

How does it differ from this forum, which is comprised of the cult of hate for all things ever associated with Armstrong?

List of things that I don't hate that were associated with Armstrong:

Cycling
Tour de France
Austin, TX
Ashley Olsen
Sheryl Crow
Cancer research
NY Marathon
Oakley sunglasses
Motorola phones
Cofidis
USPS
Discovery Channel
Pedalling at high cadence
Triathlons
Left testicle
The Look
USA
EPO
Centrifuged Blood
Steroid creams
Lots of money
Helicopters
Some doormen

There are probably more...

I guess I should just go quietly to Paceline.com...where I can play with my friends...

No, you should stop making excuses and look in the mirror. If you don't you will turn into someone like Thunder, one of two people ever banned from DPF, who spends all his time reading DPF to find things to rip on me about over here, even if they make him look like the moron that he is. Or possibly into the anti-Semites this forum has.

It's kind of funny how you seem pretty cool in the TFID thread, but as soon as you get out of there and someone has a differing opinion you become an A-hole.

The difference is that this forum is based on reality. People who deny obvious facts or use illogical arguments get torn up.
