Default Max team name lengths

Since the UCI has already set minimum bike weights, I think they need to set maximum lengths for team names. PVC Diquigiovanni-Androni Giocattoli is bad enough but at least it sounds cool. This "presented by" crap has got to stop before we start seeing Slipstream presented by H3O, Shot, Chopped and Scored by Robert Rodriguez, A Spike Lee Joint.

A simultaneously funny and serious point. The worst is when they deliver memos to the press instructing them that they must say the full name, when they have no legal basis to do so.

Actually that is more in reference to tournament names in other sports (golf, tennis, etc), where the tournament organizers have some power over the press... . Only problem is the tournament name changes every time the lead sponsor changes.

BTW Bro... you left the Chipotle off the Slipstream name... they won't give you interviews now...

Btw, regarding combined team names like Quick Step-Innergetic and Slipstream-Chipotle: what decides which comes first? Is the sponsor that is first in the name the one that pays more money? Many times we only say the first sponsor's name and leave the second one out, so the second sponsor doesn't get as much attention. (Goes to google for "Chipotle" ->)

Its money. Even on my amatuer team, the title sponsor goes to the biggest contributor.
By the way, lots of great sales at www.breakawaybikes.com.
