eg:channel 10 reported he broke his collarbone, this from a channel that runs Big Brother. (they probably can't even spell Tour de France)

I hope that the reports are inaccurate - I think Cadel is a fine rider and if he is to b beaten, lets hope it's not because of a busted shoulder.
(although the man has busted his shoulder so many times in the past).

Evans is destined for a nice top 5 finish. Nice guy, good rider, with no killer instinct. He wins the UCI ProTour by a comfortable margin without a single overall event win. That says it all.

Wow. Busted an ACL. His knee joint should be very unstable. It supports it in all directions As far as I know. But he says the pedal motion is okay.

He wasn't too happy about working all day for Mick Rogers and then Mick's legs cramping up in the final sprint. Though he did put it down to bad luck at the end of the interview/story.

I'd say a normal disapointment for being so close yet so far.

I have a ruptured (completely knacked) ACL and cycling is about the only sport it can handle at 100+% . Did it over 20 years ago and not repaired it yet.
If he ever has to take 9 months off he should get it fixed otherwise it won't effect his cycling. At least not until his mangled ACL gets worn in and rubbing smoothly. He may need some arthroscopic surgery to tidy it up in there and remove damaged cartlage etc. Must still be painful to walk on.
