eg:channel 10 reported he broke his collarbone, this from a channel that runs Big Brother. (they probably can't even spell Tour de France)
how do you spell Tour de France?

Actually makes sense, when you're right handed, but it simply struck me he wouldn't/couldn't use his left arm.
Anyway today should be hell for him, with or without fracture, as he simply couldn't sleep last night. Let's check out in Tourmalet, maybe even already on first 3rd cat of the day.
I saw that as well.

I hope that the reports are inaccurate - I think Cadel is a fine rider and if he is to b beaten, lets hope it's not because of a busted shoulder.
(although the man has busted his shoulder so many times in the past).

Evans is destined for a nice top 5 finish. Nice guy, good rider, with no killer instinct. He wins the UCI ProTour by a comfortable margin without a single overall event win. That says it all.

Cranky, you make it sound like he had the *****
I'd say a normal disapointment for being so close yet so far.

Evans said his biggest Olympic disappointment was to learn of Roger's finishing sixth in a blanket finish to the road race.

Evans had sacrificed his own chances by working for his team-mate.

"There was an opportunity if I put pressure on it could put Mick in a medal-winning position and he cramps 150m to go after 245km," Evans said. "It's disappointing.

"But that's racing. But it's one of the best team efforts I've seen for quite a while."

I have a ruptured (completely knacked) ACL and cycling is about the only sport it can handle at 100+% . Did it over 20 years ago and not repaired it yet.
If he ever has to take 9 months off he should get it fixed otherwise it won't effect his cycling. At least not until his mangled ACL gets worn in and rubbing smoothly. He may need some arthroscopic surgery to tidy it up in there and remove damaged cartlage etc. Must still be painful to walk on.
