"Spanish rider Moisés Dueñas has become the second rider to register a non-negative test for banned blood booster erythropoietin at the Tour de France. A sample taken from the Barloworld rider after the Grand Tour's first time trial, Stage 4 on July 8, in Cholet, according to head of the French anti-doping agency Pierre Bordry.

French authorities have reportedly searched Barloworld’s team hotel this morning following the news of Dueñas' test, which has been reported on news wires across the world as well as lequipe.fr - a newspaper owned by the same parent company as the Tour. The rider held 19th position on general classification heading into today's Stage 11, which the rider will not contest."

That will teach them for having drug testing. You wouldn't see this sort of thing happen at Wimbeldon or the FIFA World Cup

what worries me is all the **** blokes are still taking EPO.... what is the top 10 on ?

You could start to believe that the internal testing of the big teams is only there to stop their riders testing positive, not to actually stop them doping.

A better programme. Except for Garmin and Columbia of course, as they only train hard and would never dope.

New EPO product which can last a full month and are still not on the banned lists!
Some riders have already told to reporters that they were using it because it was not banned. That is porbably why some riders were close of the hct limit.

I stand corrected on ASO and the French Federation... though it still seems hard to imagine a Vino or Rasmussen level rider going down.

If nobody tested positive after the last two years though... the media might have had a field day with that as well.

I do like the way they're testing and enforcing these days though - they only searched Dumbass' room and nobody else's - I'm guessing his "A" sample was positive so they searched hoping to find something even more incriminating.

Great I say - get those cheating bastards out of the Tour - hopefully this will make the rest think twice about their own practises - I wonder if we'll see a bunch of sub par performances today???

Do you have anything to back this up... do you think any rider would seriously tell a Journo that they were on EPO - but that as it was new version it was still not illegal, so there was no problems with them doing it?

I know right? Contador is clearly doping. Who came in 2nd on the Hautacam? Robo or something? He was clearly doping too.

Cyclingnews.com is reporting the police found forbidden doping products in his hotel room as well. Corti and the team doctor are saying it was all on his own, they certainly didn't give anything to him and have asked the police to investigate where he got them.
