Holy ******* ****. They got him for Mircera.

Talk about asking for it. Maybe he should have toned down his outrageous performance level.

Mircera/CERA stays in your system a long long time. It's designed to only be injected once a month. If Piepoli and Coba are on the stuff then they are goners also. We probably just need Piepoli the test results from Piepoli's stage win to come back.

Oookayyy! WTF was Ricco and Saunier Duval thinking dishing out stage wins among themselves? I agree with Bro ... they were asking for it. I guess this is another reminder that if a performance seems too good to be true, it probably is.

Big talking and riding clean are not a common mix probably.

Yeah, I'll be surprised if Piepoli and Cobo are NOT caught during or immediately after the tour. Cobo more likely than Piepoli, though.

Scares how many positives UCI covered up.

It's for the same product as the other two," said Pierre Bordry, president of the French anti-doping agency.
"He hasn't been notified yet but will be in the next few minutes."

- Its good that l'requipe was notified first !

I notice that hey are talking to the media first before they talk to Ricco. We might be finding out before he does. Personally, I don't like that. However there is not much he can do even if they got him first.

I take it he won't be taking part today.

When the other riders find out Ricco was popped for Mircera/CERA, which was thought to be undectable, how many will drop out? Maybe we will see half a dozen unexplained DNFs today.

Good point. Even if they make sure they're not on the podium... they are playing Russian Roulette with the random testing.... and it doesn't leave the system quickly like the Amgen variety as you explained.

Not today, that'll just be too suspicious. A few over the next days might be. People way down in the classement who have not that much to ride for. But I think most of the dopers continue and hope that they'll get away with it. After all, they probably will...

His hero is Pantani and he seems to be trying to be like Marco in every way. What next, a cocaine binge to get over this?

When Ricco attacked on the Aspin Phil Ligget asked "where did he get those legs...?" Well now we know the answer.
