Default TV coverage of TDU in Australia

G'Day folks.

I'm currently on holiday in Australia and want to know what channels I can get coverage of this race on.

I am guessing that live coverage will be on some satellite station but is there a highlights programme on terrestrial TV in the evenings? What time will it be broadcast each night? (I'm currently in Perth so don't have a clue what the time difference is with the east coast)

thanks

S

SBS is showing highlights every night at 6pm in the eastern states and IIRC are showing the last stage live.

check sbs.com.au to find out for sure for Perth. follow the links to sport and cycling central.

Jeez I wouldn't want to be watching the live coverage ! I mean that would be terminal. I've been watching the 30 minute highlight package on SKY UK and they barely have enough racing interest to fill the 30 minutes. So once they show Lance holding a baby kangaroo and Hincapie drinking an espresso in 39c degree heat they have about 8 minutes of racing to show which does nicely for the world most boring mini stage race.

Are you blind or is that chip on your shoulder obscuring your view?

You are talking about the race in which the entire stage was spent in the gutter due to massive crosswinds.

The race littered with crashes and drama and withdrawals, ie Cookie and Greipel etc

The race where a break went with armstrong, rogers, o grady and matt wilson and hence brownie had to sacrifice his whole team but came up trumps in the end?

Not to mention cam meyers attack after ******* his shoulder yesterday?

Are you retarded or what? Seriously, honestly and truthfully, you are an idiot

Sorry, but the Benelux Tour and the Tour of Britan aren't shown as highlight packages on Australian TV, so we don't get any coverage of the worlds most boring stage races at all.

Fark you aussies talk your own **** up. Are you guys still calling Tom Cruise "our Aussie Tom" ? or when he stopped banging Nicole Kidman you forgot about him and he was no longer "aussie" ? Bunch of dickheads you blokes are.

The only reason there has been crashes is that the riders have been so bored they loose concentration and crash.

....and fark me Graham Brown... his reputation in Europe is shocking. He has had more 2nd's than a minute and side swiped so many riders that most refuse to ride against him. The sooner he's banished to the US crit circuit the better. Hack.

Finally... the ocre jersey or whatever the fark its called. ****e.

Dear Mr. Whiteboy.
Yes, the TDU is a minor event in the world of cycling.
It is improving though, and one day it may be a bigger more recognized race.
It is a good warm up for the year. The weather is much nicer than in Europe this time of year and the Australian public get to see their riders up close for a change.

Why you need to even read a post on the TDU is puzzling. Have you not got something better to do?

Hey....................I won't have that type of talk here.

Rolf Harris is a national treasure, don't you know?

No the TDU is a paid event with riders who only turn up because themselves and their teams are paid to do so. They don’t turn up by choice. Do you really think King Lance would be there if he didn’t have $1,000,000 in his bank to do so ? Do you really think any European could be bothered sitting on a farking plane for 26 hours to get there ? It like a post Tour crit in Belgium. All the riders rock up to cash in and the result is decided well before the racing gets underway. The TDU is the same. I put it on par with WWF wrestling, cockfighting and international dwarf throwing. The TDU will always be a paid advertisement. Not worthy on anyones palmers except Graham Brown is a hack.
