I agree Lim, don't rule out Saxo to turn out a good time. Cancellara could probably pull the whole team the entire length of this course by himself.

2. Saxo
Cancellara to stay in Yellow.

Yeah, he is riding really strongly.

Canc had a phenomenal 2008 season - including a great Tour de France in 2008

Word has it that Saxo think he might be overall GC material in 09

Things look bad for Evans at 19,5km. Let's see how it develops but Evans could lose the tour here. Possibly this stage will be much more significant than everybody expected.

Unfortunately for Cadel, Silence squad is not as strong as the other major contenders teams.
That has always been CE's weak point.
Unfortunately.

Yep teams wanted CE.

Telekom wanted him to stay when he was there - but he said he
was unhappy there.

maybe telekom is a poor choice to cite............but you get my drift.
Big budget teams were prepared to sign CE.

It's sad for him but perhaps sadder for Australia who is looking and riding there hopes on Cadel. Cycling is takeing off in Australia....thanx in part to Cadel, O'Grady and McEwen, but are looking for to much. Australia is a powerhouse in track cycling but not road cycling, but over achieves in many sports

Aaarrrggghh Silence Lotto what have you done

Why does CE choose to stay at Silence Lotto? He's more or less guaranteed now that he's fighting for a highest position of second on the podium unless that TT has wiped out his podium chances altogether. Talk about guaranteeing that you'll be at best second.

I wonder if he gets frustrated with his situation?
