Armstrong continues to utilize his comeback to cycling as a way to promote the LIVESTRONG foundation and bring awareness to cancer research.

Hm. Radio Shack. We have one here. We also have a Circuit City (at least the sign's still there). They both look about equally empty.

How much money is the deal worth? Anyone knows?

Guesses are Leipheimer, Horner, Popo, Hincapie. We need to see how much money the team has to guesstimate who they could hire in the first place. Will Lance get paid by the team? Two important datapoints we're missing.

Team Radio Shack is a classy bunch:

July 13th. AP

A former North Kansas City company CEO and director of RadioShack Corp. pleaded guilty to attempting to possess child pornography.

Ronald Elmquist, 63, pleaded guilty Friday in federal court in Kansas City to a charge of trying to obtain illegal pornographic images on a laptop issued to him by QualServ Corp., a North Kansas City stainless steel fabricator that Elmquist used to lead.

Elmquist also resigned from the RadioShack board soon after Clay County prosecutors charged him with possession of child pornography in 2006.

I heard that Kloden is leaving Astana but not sure what he is doing after that and Trek goes where Armstrong goes so that would be another sponsor.

Radio Shack? seriously... Radio Shack?? LMAO!! i guess if someone is going to write you a check for a few million you should just shut up and ask where and how big do they want their logo but.. Radio Shack is such a crappy brand that just says.. cheap, bargain bin, shlock,.. oh, well... just hold your nose and cash the check i guess... Radio Shack?? wow!

but let me say that i do get my cables there though.. better quality and 1/10th the price than that MonsterCable BS you find at the BestBuy and FutureShops..

When Disco stopped, Johann and Lance were enable to secure a sponsor... for their comeback people rumored that it could be big firms like Oracle, Apple, ..
It seems that they still have difficulty to obtain confidence of sponsors, even with their straight record "without" positive test !

Armstrong mentioned Klodi by name in an interview as someone he'd like on the team.

I think it might have more to do with the fact that the marquee rider has what, one, maybe two years left?
