And if Lim wants to stake claim to have been riding in the 60's please do. I am sure I can put together an entire comedy routine on that one.
He probably could...

... but you're such a **** for brains you'd probably miss the humour.

85 - Lemond was only within 5 minutes because a/ Hinault let him go with a break into St Etienne and then b/ fell, breaking his nose. Lemond only ended up being within 2 minutes on GC at the end of the race through Hinaults generosity and misfortune.

Swamp, You've redeemed yerself.
Superb clip.

Love the bit with the rider trying to open the cap, using the the handlebar stem.

And those jerseys!
Love the old Bianchi Celeste jerseys.

Interesting that the audio mention 400k per annum for Merckx.
Big big money back then.

It was YOU who brought up the issue of Contador not having the "bottle", initially.
That was in response to Slovacguy claiming Armstrong was too scared. Don't you see? It was showing him how stupid that sort of remark is, whether about Armstrong or Contador.

I think the main reason Armstrong came back is he thought doping was a thing of the past. The fact that the manufacturers are working with the authorities so they have a proper test, and the introduction of the blood passports, made him believe he still had a chance at the age of 38 in a fair fight. The whole team were disgusted with Contador for cheating so blatantly. It was like he was in a different race to the rest of the favourites.

Armstrong was responsible for Conti's incredible time trailing performance.

It's the same anti Armstrong propaganda talking points. We know Armstrong plays hard - you don't win seven tours by using kid gloves - but he is not the source of all evil. Imagine how the team felt to have someone doping so openly in front of them, just because they were scared of losing to Armstrong in a fair fight?

Puuurlese - the 'Posties' were notoriously one of the most doped teams in the peleton. Landis, Hamilton, Heras - ring any bells.

Are you saying that Levi and Klöden wer doped too because they were clearly stronger than Armstrong?

Why do you believe that Lance was clean when his performances were clearly higher than his pre-EPO and Ferrari period?
