I think you're right, MF.

Yeah, I think there might be some further changes to 2009 Tour de France GC when all the dope test results are collated.

So his remarks about Contador producing numbers that he never did, on the Swiss climb, after that stage, seem a rather coded attack. I think Armstrong may have a point.
The irony is so strong it just came through the internet and hit me in the face like a brick.

I'd rather see the podium girls fingered before autumn but that's just me...

After Festina we were hopping that riders will leave EPO... and then Lance arrived in 1999 full of EPO , confirmed in 2005. We felt very disappointed.

6 +2 (according Ashenden) samples with EPO should have banned Lance Armstrong to start next TDF !

So all the other guys who won races, such as the Tour, who blood doped and took EPO during the 90's didn't disappoint you?

Quite right - it's getting to the point where sprinting for 2nd or 3rd is really important juuuuuust in case you pick up the stage win on the post Tour de France busting...

A sad truth.

Irrelevant.
As to your question: a) they were all doping like crazy (whereas in 99 people were hoping for a fresh start b) they were not portraying themselves as cancer survivors, miracle workers, whiter than white saviors of cycling...

Agreed - the Festina Affair in '98 was the last straw that broke the donkeys back. We knew there was doping before (how could we not?) but the discovery that a professional team had a systematic program was pretty horrifying & indicated that things had got wildly out of control. The Peleton was given a clean slate in '99 but threw it back in our faces.
