That's no surprise he dropped out. The course doesn't suit him.

That's what 'people' said about Milan San Remo... It's too long for him, the hills near the end are too hard, he'll never last...

He's been ill for the last few weeks.

Until they have a rainbow jersey for world's best sprinter, I don't see Cav being or not being in the world's as any sort of big deal.

No chance in Mendrisio, even in top form.

Will be the hot favourite next year in Geelong I suspect.

Yep

The uphill rise won't stop him.

Although, GB's leadout train won't be as good as Columbia's.

Cummings, Millar, Wiggins

Swift, unproven

Thomas, unproven

Stannard, more unproven that GT

Froome, engine domo

others:

young 21 yo sprinter Adam Blythe, distance will be too much, probably the fastest Brit besides Cav.

Hunt, probably there, an option for the sprint leadout.

Hammond, see Hunt. I think Roger Hammond will be Cavs leadout man actually, he has been his pilot before, and he is pretty fast.

9 man team.

Leader: Cav
Leadout: Hammond
Main final train: Millar, Wiggins, Cummings
Domestiques: Froome.

outer squad: Swift, Thomas, Hunt, Stannard, Bellis, Kennaugh, Lloyd, Downing, Blythe.

Grates, I think you underrate the possible team that GB can put on the road. I also think Thomas and Stannard will probably jump a few levels.
