Why there are not movies about cycling at all? There are tons of movies about baseball, football, basketball, soccer, hockey, and many other sports but what about cycling? The only movie I know about cycling is Amarican Flyers with Kevin Costner. |

What it doesn't explain is the fact that the Russian rider looks like he spends more time doing bench-presses and curls than doing interval training, or why the team leader is at the FRONT of every paceline. I found both American Flyers and Breaking Away to be a bit wanting; Breaking Away seemed a bit more inspired. |

A reader this week asked me for suggestion on a few cycling flicks that him and his buddies can catch up on. His timing was perfect because I was in the middle of writing this post on my favorite cycling movies Breaking Away (1979) American Flyers (1985) Quicksilver (1986) The Flying Scotsman (2007) Road to Roubaix
