Help with Xport bike rack

Hi, I just purchased the Xport fork mount roof rack for my 97 Honda Accord 4 door. Has anyone used
this rack? I'm having some trouble installing it - it seems sturdy enough (it survived a 12 hour
thruway trip), but the hooks that attach under the door don't lie flush with the roof. I've heard
stories about this rack coming off while driving, so if anyone has an opinion, I'd be happy to hear
it. I might spring for the Thule feet, since the parts are interchangeable, but that's another $150.
