Last night at the crit in Anniston, Al he attacked Johnny Sundt with a 2x4. He was upset about some of the meaningless crap that happens during bike races and he tried to assult Johnny. He caved in the down tube on Johnny's bike when Johnny used to bike to protect himself. This guy is a piece of crap and deserves to be suspended for a long time. He pulled a similar stunt a few years when he threw his bike at another riders head and cut his head with the chainring. I wish this guy would just go away. USAC----please don't puss out and not suspend this a-hole. the real rondechampion |

This link may wrap, but it'll turn up if you Google on this group for "gaggioli" and "theif" (1998) http://www.google.com/groups?q=gaggi...en&lr=&ie=UTF- 8&oe=UTF-8 &c2coff=1&selm=6ntlpl%24no%241%40fddinewz.oit.un- c.edu&rnum=1 |

Sundt is such a superior bike handler, that he can do stuff that you are certain will take you down, only to dash out of it at the last second. He's chopped wheels a couple times, with his excuse being that he's a pro and his job is to make money any way possible in bike races. Some people don't like that. I've rarely heard a good word spoken about Gag - this confirms it. Good to hear nobody was seriously hurt. -a |

Roberto is a lot of things but he doesn't get violent for no reason. I think it likely that Sundt did more than "some ~ meaningless crap" to upset Gaggioli. Depends on how you define a reason I guess. We see Johnny quite a bit during cross season and he has always impressed me as a really decent guy with an incredible skill level. I haven't heard a single complaint in three seasons from the officials or the guys riding with him around here. He seems to be pretty popular. I'm not going to claim to know him other than casually but I've never heard anyone slam him. Bill C |

First off I am not taking anyone's side but since I have been in all these races in the past week I will state this: I was sitting behind Sundt when "the incident" that pushed gag over the edge occurred. I was sitting this wheel and Gag rolled by on the outside on a straight away, as he pulled along side Sundt Johnny pushed gag off the road with his right arm. They had been going since Athens and Gag decided to handle it off the bike between the two than include other riders during the race. |

The result was that he broke his femur. I think it was the Manhattan Beach GP. Early 90's. I don't recall who kicked, though. |

This is not the parking lot out behind Billy Bobs Honky Tonk Bar. Gagg has been dishing it out for years. gotta be able to take it too... Dan, you sound like you are defending him? what gives, jason |
