In the same photo, why does the French uniform appear to have the insignia for MG autos? Aren't they
British and out of business?

British maybe, but not out of business. In fact, they currently do a line of small cars that are
sold in the UK (and Europe?).

MG also sponsored Jean Delatour, which may explain why they are going out of business.
