I bought L'Equipe today

The first time since August 2005 when they ran their fraudulent
"investigation" on Armstrong and EPO. I had to change cassettes and
chain and needed something to cover up the floor. I did save the page
on Longo's ITT win.

I saw your Longo post, pretty amazing, but Longo is really working hard this
year, from sources I have heard from in France. She wants to make good on
her 50th this year. I had a friend in France who went to buy the French Velo
sports mag that sells at many stores. When Longo was on the cover a few
months back, he went to get a copy at the local store. Turns out it sold out
at almost every store in town very quickly, but luckily he was able to get
one last copy at the very last store in town. The fact is, Longo is more
loved by the French public then most people think, because she is their only
hope of putting France back on the map for women cycling pros. Most of the
top girls have problems. Many of the top women have health problems
including Marina Jaunatre and Maryline Salvetat. Magali Le Floc'h is on her
last legs, really Longo is their best hope. However things seem to go in
cycles with the public. After the last round of excitement about Longo, she
was not mentioned in the news much about winnings the Nats because it seems
its embarrassing that a 49 year rider, old enough to be the mother of the
best riders around her easily beats them in almost every form of
competition. With over 1000 victories to her credit, the French really
should be very proud that the greatest icon of all times is French.

The L'Equipe article said that Patrice Ciprelli is spending a lot of
time on specialized equipment websites where you can get custom stuff.
He thought up a different handlebar and got some artisan in Finland to
build it for Jeannie.

I wonder if they'll pick her for the Olympics. She's definitely not
using any of the official equipment, so maybe she'll have to sue them
again.

He did a 1:06 swim which is 10 minutes better than in Zurich or
Hawaii. He came 2nd in the bike leg and did a 3:14 marathon.

Otherwise, Longo may know cycling, but her math is wanting: "C'est
comme un prix Nobel: même après son prix Nobel de maths, il reste bon
en maths s'il continue à travailler." I should race her in a bike/math
duathlon.

In parallel with Jonathan Vaughters, I will not publicly admit to
killing triathletes with sharks. However, my previous public statements
on the subject should leave little ambiguity about my history.

I am now trying, in a spirit of reconciliation, to promote an "ex-tri"
movement.

Thinking of calling it Rational Recovery; is that taken?

I try not to know too much about triathlons but my niece started doing
the triathlon thing a year or so ago and came to me for help on the
cycling part. I must be pretty good because she's only broken one bone
in the course of riding.
