Experience the beauty of the Shenandoah Valley At the 12th Annual Shenandoah Valley Bike Festival
July 26, 2003 Held on the campus of Bridgewater College in Bridgewater, Virginia

The Event and Area The Shenandoah Valley Bike Festival offers a wide variety of options for both the
beginner and the more experienced rider. Held on the weekend of July 26th, 2003, the scenic rides
have been designed to showcase the exceptional beauty of the Shenandoah Valley. Rides range in
length from 20 to 100 miles.

We invite you to come and truly experience the Shenandoah Valley by bicycle. Enjoy the breeze
brushing against your face as you experience nature with no barriers.

Registration Includes: Great Food Ride Maps Sag Wagons Rest Stops Shower Facilities Mechanical
Support Water and Gatorade

Festival Sponsored in Part By: Kinkos for printing brochures and maps. Shenandoah Valley Electric
Cooperative for providing coolers and other supplies.

Proceeds from the Festival are donated to Our Community Place

THE RIDES Ride Difficulty Miles Start Time Century A/B 100 7:00 AM Metric Century A/B 65 7:30 AM
Morning Challenge B 40 8:00 AM Morning Loop B/C 20 9:00 AM Afternoon Loop C 20 1:30 PM

In addition, there will be a Shenandoah Valley Bicycle Club ride on Friday evening at 5:30 and a
Volunteer Recognition ride on Sunday morning at 9:00 am. Ride Ratings: A-Difficult (hills and
lengthy); B-Moderate to difficult (rolling hills); C-Moderate to easy. The Festival and its
volunteers cannot guarantee sag wagons and rest stops for those individuals leaving on a ride at an
unscheduled time. Pre-ride instructions are important for all riders for purposes of safety and
possible route changes.
